Recommended Framing for Synchronicity Print

There are many choices when mounting and framing a piece of art and it is often personal preference that determines that choice. The following examples are ways that Synchronicity has successfully been produced in the past. The suggestions below are meant to be a helpful guide when discussing options with your local framer.

  1. Matte finish - direct print mounted to aluminum dibond with a matte lamination overlay. Simple and classic, no frame necessary.
  2. High gloss finish - Plexiglass/acrylic face mounting. No frame necessary. Because of highly reflective quality, it is not recommended in locations that catch reflections from a window or skylight, which could detract from the image itself.

Print is mounted to aluminum dibond with a matte lamination overlay. If you like the look of a frame, a floater frame is a great choice. This gives the illusion of the artwork floating within the frame. Silver, black or white frames all work well.

Frame with Mat Board

Print is dry mounted on acid free backing board which allows for a reversible archival dry mounting option. Depending on size, it can also be hinged with linen tape, which is a reversible method that attaches the art to a backing board or matboard. Add an archival quality 4- 8 ply white border matboard. Add wood frame. Silver, Black or White frames all work well. Finish with non-glare acrylic glass, which offers an acid-free, non-reflective matte surface to minimize glare and reflection.
